He didn’t hide the fact that her soccer playing skill didn’t complete turn him on; he liked a girl who could handle herself on the playing field. She didn’t really hit him as much of a football lover but soccer, now soccer he could agree with. She had the nice muscle tone for a soccer player. He had to agree that now that he was older he wasn’t much into track anymore but it helped him keep in shape between the two off seasons. “Yeah, not a lot of people still like track, even the track stars.” Most people wanted to believe that everyone who ran track was an amazing and gifted runner when it was more of a way to keep into shape and get a good look at the girls, in fact most of the runners only did it for their parents or because their girlfriends thought it would be good for them. No Dillon was totally into the slide attacks that could, if performed incorrectly, take a player out of the game, possibly even the season, to running any day.
There was a sense of comfort between the two of them, he could feel it and was nearly certain that she could feel it too. Either way it made him, different, knowing that he felt this way about being with a girl. “Really, alright then, I will.” he said after she told him he could ask whatever he wanted. True he knew his boundaries and certainly wasn’t going to pass them, or at least most of them. ”So, when you’re not burning down schools, on ‘accident’ what do you like to do, no jock stuff… I mean what do you do when you get home and it’s been a bad day and all you want to do is disappear into the blackness of night and never be seen again?” Yep, at times he could be deep, he knew it too, which is what made it all the cornier.
Thinking back on it he did actually remember that he’d had and seen some relieving breakups that merely save a friendship, he figured that’s what hers was. ”Oh, so you’d be nice to the good cheerleaders it’s just he annoying peppy ones that bug you?” he said summing her answer up. ”I have to admit, most of the boys around here would be crushed without their precious cheerleaders there to do them and then dump them, and heaven forbid they go one night without getting laid.” Dillon said venting some unleveled anger towards both cheerleaders and his brother all at once, oh well things happen.

Caraja loved playing soccer. It was her life. The only thing that actually made her happy and want to face the next day. Another day without her sister. She knew she had a good body from all the work out but she didn't do it to keep in shape. She did it because she wanted to. She shrugged at his comment. "I guess. It might be because they are running to win things or for personal gain. Not because they really want to. I run just about every day that I don't go to the gym and I love it. But if I have t do it in a race or something I hate running. It's one of those weird love/hate relationships I think." She smiled. Yeah she could be a little weird and talk about things like this. Whether or not other people actually understood her,was up to them.
She loved boys who knew how to play soccer. It was pretty damn hot. Brains and the ability to kick a ball and win, both in the same boy, was enough to make her want to do anything to get his attention. But nah. She wasn't desperate. CJ loved jocks but that didn't mean she could always handle them. Their attitude got in the way. But with Dillon, she knew he was nice. And very hot. She could feel something between them. Just what it was, she wasn't too sure. He didn't seem to mind her arm around his waist so she just left it there. She knew giving him free reign to ask questions could cause problems. He could ask, but that didn't always mean she'd answer. Somethings were private. She raised an eyebrow at his question. When he mentioned no jock stuff she rolled her eyes. "Well that cuts out running. So after a bad day what do I do besides running.... go play with the little girl next door. She's a little sweetheart and I babysit her all the time. Her mom's single and working her way through college. I go to work at the library a lot. I also go to the movies. I love movies so yeah. And when I'm feeling daring, I go to the club. That's about it." Yeah she led a boring life without sports but whatever. It was her life. "What about you? What do you do besides sports?"
CJ grinned at his summation and laughed. "Yeah that's about it. I figure, if you mess with me, I mess back. I only dish out what people give me first. The rest of the time I'm just pretty cool about things." She leaned closer to him for a second before moving back. "Don't worry about it. All those jocks, and those cheerleaders, will get their own in a couple years. Karma is a bitch and she does love revenge. People like us will be the ones who get everything they want I bet. Or, at least, a lot of it." She could hear the anger in his voice and figured it must be about his brother so moved to whisper in his ear. "Ya know, I think you're the better brother. In looks, and everything else." Once that was said she moved away and slid her arm out from around him to his hand. She squeezed it with her own before she continued walking, without touching him.

He had to think about that, what did he do, non sport wise on a daily basis? Well, he hid and he hid well or at least he tried to hide. Hunter would kill him if he told her that so he buried it deep so he wouldn’t feel tempted to say anything involving that little tidbit of information. ”Me, oh I guess eat, sleep and do homework mostly. I don’t have much time to go out and be all ‘relaxed’ like Hunter.” Hunter was going to college next year, meaning most of his classes were easy ones that required no homework for him. Dillon, no he was only a sophomore so he had homework galore!
”Babysitting that little girl sounds really nice of you, I’d baby-sit, if anyone would trust me around a kid.” he said with a smile, that last kid he attempted to baby-sit had been about eight, never again was all Dillon could say when Hunter had asked him how it went. Dillon hadn’t babysat since then. It’d been more of a ‘when I get older and I have more time and maybe some different ideas on how to make them behave, then we’ll see about kids’ type of thing since then. ”I’m more of a keep around my own age type of person.” he said with complete and utter honesty.
”That’s a pretty good theory, note to self, don’t mess with CJ.” He felt her lean closer and then back away. It sort of saddened him that she leaned away but then again he’d kind of ignored her arm around his waist so maybe that’s why. When he heard her say he was the better brother, he nearly feinted, and we’re talking face down butt in the air taking deep breaths type of feinting. He could feel a slight blush coming to his face which made him elated that he was semi tan, meaning she wouldn’t see it as bad as if he was pale. He wasn’t all that into karma but had to admit that usually when something bad happened to someone, a little later on, maybe years but still, something good happened to them. Taking it upon himself he decided to drape his arm around her waist and pull her a little closer to him. Yep, this he could get used to. ”Next question… favorite music type?”

She smiled at his answer. Ah. Sophomores had it so much better than Juniors like her. And actually seniors, good ones, did even more. They had to get ready for college. Something she knew Hunter wasn't really working on. Which got on her own nerves and, obviously, his brothers. "I know. But your brother's not a real good example of other seniors. You know that and I know that. But I feel for you on the homework thing. I have all advanced classes." She let out a dejected sigh. Sometimes she really hated her advanced classes. They meant more work. A lot of it. She practically had a paper due every week.
She shrugged. "I guess it is. I just like Jamie. She's a cute kid and I think of her as a little sister. And her mom needs all the help she can get. So I figured that I might as well help out considering I live alone in the apartment next to her. Nothing else to do really." CJ didn't even get paid for it. She just wanted to help out, so did. She laughed at his joke. "Yeah most people are like that. Those people have never had a younger sibling or kid near them when growing up. Or they just don't like kids." She'd heard the honesty in his voice and had to smile at it. He was pretty funny.
She laughed out loud when he made a note to himself. Said he had anyway. CJ grinned widely at Dillon, ignoring the looks she'd gotten for her laugh. "Thank you. And good. You should have that down. Like karma, I have a nasty habit of getting back at people." She didn't notice his sadness when she moved away. But she'd been telling the truth about him being the better brother. He was hotter than Hunter, funnier than him, and definately smarter. All three really good qualities that she found sexy. She looked at him and didn't notice the blush on his cheek. The sunlight glinted off of her sunglasses slightly. She blinked behind those same glasses when his arm slid around her waist and she blushed. but she didn't fight him and let him pull her closer. CJ liked his arm around her. It felt natural. At his random question she raised an eyebrow again. "Favorite music? Now that's hard. Well I listen to pretty much everything. Gym Class Heroes, AFI, Disturbed, Jason Mraz. Even some Trace Adkins actually." She smiled and mentally sang one of his songs in her head. "ladies love country boys." "What about you?"

”I know all about advanced classes, seeing as I’m in nearly every AP class invented, but I’m ahead in most of them so it’s not that bad.” This was actually true; for once he was telling the truth to someone about his grades. It was normal for him to lie and say that he was doing alright in his classes but never to say he was ahead, that usually made the speaker a huge geek, but for whatever reason he trusted CJ with that information. Hunter, yeah Hunter was a bad example for seniors everywhere. He’d yet to fill out his college application and still wasn’t sure if he was going as far away from here as he could or not. Either way it was starting to get on Dillon’s nerves that he didn’t figure out where he was going to go.
”See I like kids, it’s more of I want to have them with someone I can be happy with that way if I go crazy, I can have someone I like with me.” That was the big joke between him and Hunter; they’d go insane together, which they probably would if given the chance. He didn’t feel her fight him as he pulled her closer which made him happy for a definite change of pace. ”You’re into some good bands, I’m definitely obsessed with… well you might find this dorky… but I’m real into oldies. Mostly swing music and things like that but modern day stuff—like Gym Class Heroes—are good too.” He’d gotten real into swing after his mother left and he started digging through her closest and found some old records. Why she had them he wasn’t too sure but he put them on the antique record player and listened to them. ”Django Reinhart and Duke Ellington are by far amazing… yeah talk about dorky huh?” he said with a smile and his famous dorky grin.
Yeah Dillon had his dorky moments, his deep moments, his overly embarrassing moments, and his down right stupid moments, but mix them together and you get one amazing kid. He was still on a high from her telling him he was better compared to Hunter, it was then that he got to wondering if maybe Hunter had hurt her heart some how and how she was trying to get back at him by flirting with Dillon. ”Most embarrassing day?” he asked pushing the thought out of his mind. ”You know what, I’m doing a lot of question asking, go on you can ask anything about me.” he said realizing he was basically asking every question in the conversation.

CJ blinked then grinned. "Now that is some very good news. Which means we can hyave study group together and you can help me on some of the things I totally can't get. Like math, for example. I seriously hate Calculus." She made a face at the name of the evil class then was back to grinning. CJ didn't think he was a nerd. She thought it was pretty cool that he was advanced in advanced classes. And it wasn't like she was going to copy his work. Different classes afterall. But maybe he could help her understand some things.
"Now that's a cute idea. And I think that would be a pretty good one too. I would just hoep i wasn't the one to go insane in my relationship." As if she'd ever actually have kids anyway. She loved little kids and all but CJ didn't think she would ever deserve to have a family. it just wasn't in the stars for her. She smiled at his words, glad he'd been able to get her mind off of the sadder things. "Thanks. I just love their songs. The beats are amazing, words are fun, and it's really cool to dance to." Cupid's Chokehold being her favorite and Viva Le White Girl, a close second. She blinked when he said he was into oldies and swing music. She grinned widely. "Now that, is really cool. I don't think I've ever really listened to swing music. Maybe you could let me listen to some songs one day." CJ leaned into him slightly, just a little more. "I don't think it's dorky. I think it's pretty cool that you like swing music. And the fact that you actually admitted it, instead of BSing it, is pretty cute." CJ continued to smile and wanted to give him a kiss for telling her the truth but decided against it. They'd only known eachother an hour at the most.
Caraja laughed at his question. "Now that one's easy. my most embarassing moment has to be a couple years ago when I'd first moved here from England. I was in a swim race at a lake near here and my bathing suit top came off. I didn't know about it until I'd climbed out of the water. I'd won the race though, so it made me feel a little better. For a while after that no one could stop talking about it. Yeah, at the time I wanted to die and all, but it's pretty nice now that I can laugh about it." She smiled when he said she could ask him anything. "Ok then. What's your favorite movie?" You could tell what kind of person someone was by their favorite movie. People were always drawn to things like themselves.

Calculus wasn’t actually that bad. He was rather gifted in math and science, something he was told came from his mom. ”Sure, if you wanna.” he said to her study group idea, he thought he wouldn’t do as much studying his books as he would her but then again stranger things have happened. Yeah he wasn’t much into studying, which might explain his not so amazing grade in history, no he wasn’t failing but it wasn’t matching his others amazingly. Let’s just say that Dillon didn’t like to try things, if it didn’t come naturally then he didn’t want to try and make it come. That being said, his grade was a high ‘b’ so obviously he was doing something right, or at least attempting something right.
CJ was the first girl he’d tried being honest with, most of the other ones he’d just ramble off what his brother liked, which might explain why they all fell for him over Dillon. For whatever reason Dillon was just so used to hiding everything about him that it didn’t matter if he was telling them Hunter’s story or not, it was just how things were. He didn’t know what he’d do next year when Hunter would say goodbye to Richfield and hello to college town. Whatever came next would just be a test as to who Dillon truly was, so hopefully he knew who he was before it happened. ”Yeah, I’m hoping I’m not going to go crazy but if I do, I’d really like to love who ever has control over my life. I’d rather not end up in one of those homes you hear about all the time on the news.” he said with a smile.
”Favorite movie, now that’s a hard question. I’d have to say a mystery horror movie.” He loved mystery’s because it intrigued him to figure out who done it before the movie actually revealed it but the horror part just reminded him of real life. ”It’s really fun to see those type of movies with a scaredy cat.” he said. He loved to take his friends out to movies and watch them flinch and quiver, it was a real laughing stock. ”What’s your favorite car, and what’s your favorite speed?” True with the speed he was asking more on a relationship mind was she a girl who liked to take things slow or was she more of a speed demon?

"Of course I do. i bet you're awesome in Calculus. And if we study together i can even help you with history. Equal exchange." She smiled. It was bound to be fun, studying together. Of course she'd probably get side tracked by staring at him but she was willing to try. Anything to get her low 'b' almost 'c' to an 'a.' It was a huge need or she'd be in big trouble with the coaches. She doubted Dillon needed much help with history but whatever. They could always have some fun together when studying. And there was nothing wrong with wanting to get better at something.
Caraja smiled softly back. "All anyone can really hope for is love I think. It's hard to find and even harder to keep. But worth it I figure." The mention of homes on the news made her nod her head with an eyeroll. She knew exactly what he was talking about. Those families should never have been together in the first place.
She listened to him talk about his favorite movie. Mysteries meant he liked to solve things. Figure things out. Which meant he'd probably try and look a little bit deeper into her than anyone else ever had. For some reason... she didn't really mind it that he might. As for the horror movies bit... that was just because he liked scaring people. CJ grinned. "Well, sorry to disappoint, but horror movies don't other me usually." His next question totally wasn't something she would have figured he'd ask. So she blinked then thought about it. "I don't know much about cars so the one I have would e my favorite. It's a Mercedes SLR. And it depends on the situation. I usually go the speed limit unless I'm on an open high way going somewhere. That's when I go fast. But if I'm in an area where kids might run out at any time, i go a bit slower than the speed limit." She shrugged. That was basically her.

”Yeah, I could do with some history tutor,” he said with a laugh. It was something he always joked about, needing someone to school him in history, seeing as he had a horrid tendency to simply skip the class. ”Just call me and I’ll give you all the help I can with Calculus.” He didn’t really know what he’d be doing next year or senior year for that matter, in the math department seeing as he was the only sophomore in calculus, which was an accomplishment for him in and of itself, but it was one of the highest math levels offered at that school. It was times like that that Dillon wished he could skip a year or two and head straight to college. Shaking his head he figured he’d figure that out next year when it was happening.
”You know I never took you for such a car loving girl, I’m more of a ‘I’ll take it as long as it runs’ type of person. Maybe that’s because I can’t drive yet.” he said with a smile. Yep he can joke as well, but that’s about it. Deepness and jokes were what made Dillon, Dillon. ”Yeah, horror movies don’t scare people anymore, it’s a little depressing, oh well, that’s what real life horror stories are for.” he said. The only real life story that had ever scared him was the one that Hunter had told him after his ‘accident’ when he spent like a week or two in the hospital. Dillon had freaked at that story but he got over it, he always did.
”So what movies are you into, and please don’t tell me that you’re a jock that’s totally into chick flicks!” he said with a giant smile. It was one of his better qualities for him, his smile that is. That was the separation between him and Hunter, their smiles. Hunter had one of course, but Dillon’s wasn’t usually a sincere smile, more of a smile just to smile. Now, it was sincere… meaning it was amazing and full of life, something that would normally scare him but in this case he decided that it would be a good thing for him to be smiling. ”What’s your favorite movie snack?”

"Well really it's not tutoring. Just helping someone remember facts easier. There are different tricks and things for that. Hell my own history teacher is so corny she makes up songs and rhymes and things to help us remember. It works really well." She smiled at him. She didn't think he needed that much help in it. Not like she needed in Calculus. But that was to be expected. He was pretty smart. And he's a sophomore in Calculus. Practically unheard of. So CJ knew she could get a lot of help from him. "Alright. I'll be calling you fairly often then. And not just because of homework." She winked at him, meaning it. She wasn't out to use him. CJ thought she might be getting a big crush on him and him being able to help her was just an extra bonus.
CJ rolled her eyes and smiled again. "Well thats cool. And I'm not really into cars. I just inherited mine when my dad died. It's the only one I've had since." She laughed and bumped her hip into his. "Eh you'll be driving around soon enough. And then you'll understand just how evil traffic is." When he mentioned real life stories were the only scary things left in the world she mentally snorted. He really had no idea. Until 3 years ago her life had been a horror story. But he didn't need to know that and she really didn't want to blow their happy mood so shrugged it off. "Yeah but some horror stories are portrayed after real ones."
She laughed again at his joke. When CJ saw his big smile she felt her heart go 'bu bump' in her chest. Oh yeah. Definitely crushing on Dillon. He was just so cute and she loved his smile. "I'm really into everything. i have an eclectic flavor for things. I love action movies like Live Free or Die Hard, fantasy like Harry Potter and the Labyrinth, horror like Saw 1-4, and even a couple of chick flicks. I am a girl after all." CJ smiled at him, joking around. She did watch just about anything she could. She loved movies. When he asked about her favorite snack for watching movies, she raised an eyebrow at the random question. "Popcorn, hands down. When I'm at home I add fruit to it but that's it. What about you?"
