God damnit! She was going to be late for class. Not really an option for her. CJ really didn't want to get in touble. She'd be scewed if she did. She had just been in pre-calculus and had fallen asleep in class. While that sucked, it usually happened. That class was just so BORING sometimes. She couldn't help it, no matter how hard she tried to stay up. Anyway she'd missed the bell ringing. So, when more people started to enter the class, she woke up and figured out what had happened. CJ had quickly grabbed her stuff and now she was running, trying to get to the class. She had to get to it before the door shut or she'd be locked out. Which meant no class and she'd be in trouble.
Thank god she wasn't wearing a skirt or anything. Jeans, Vans, and a tshirt were pretty much what she wore. And the Vans, while helping her run, also hindered her. They slid everytime she went around a corner. CJ had almost run into a wall or someone twice. She didn't have enough time, or breath, to say hi back to everyone she knew who'd called out her name. Finally she saw her class. She knew the bell would ring any second and started to run ever faster. Too bad someone walked right into her way from the adjacent hall, making her fall on top of them.
She let out a loud "omph!" on impact and tried to clear her mind. CJ started trying to get up off of the person she'd landed on when the bell rang and her classroom door slam shut. She let out a long sigh and let her head fall down and she finally noticed she was still on top of the person. "Oh! I'm sorry." She moved to get off of them.

Dillon wasn't normally the one to be late but knew when he'd rounded the corner that he was going to be for the first time in... he couldn't even remember. He wasn't running or anything it was more of a walk that just so happened to involve listening to his iPod, meaning he wasn't paying all that much attention and walked into the middle of the hallway without realizing that people were running, literally running, to get to class on time. It was one such person that caused Dillon to not only be late, but be kicked out of the class altogether.
Rounding a corner is when it had happened, he felt her smack right into him like a freight train going majorly over the speed limit. With a loud groan he hit the floor nearly breaking his iPod, one he'd worked for three months to pay for. Hearing the bell sound didn't really bother him, he was too far ahead in any class to really be bothered by missing one, in fact missing one or two might be a good idea, give him time to relax.
"Excuse me, but could you get off me?" he asked as polietly as he could. Looking up he noticed that it was CJ, one of the jock girls that hung around Hunter and the rest of the football players for fun, not for bed fun. She was cool, but never his actual 'let's go hang out, it's been so long since I last saw you' type of friend, but hey they were both locked out of class, he may as well talk. "Sorry, wasn't watching where I was going." he said with an embarassed look on his face.

CJ looked down and studied the face of the boy she'd run into. It took her a second to remember where she knew him from and finally it clicked. He was Hunter's brother. She smiled at him before his words penitrated her mind and she blushed slightly. "Sorry!" She scrambled up to her feet, still blushing. God why did she have to hit someone. She was wishing for the floor to open up and swallow her. Maybe then she'd be safe from humiliation. And she would definately be humiliated if Hunter and the others ever heard about this. They loved to pick on her and joke around with her like that. Usually she gave as good as she got.... but not this time.
CJ held her hand down to the younger boy to help him up. From the noise he'd made she guessed she must have hit him pretty hard. And as she was 5'10" that had to hurt like hell. Especially considering she was taller than him by a couple inches. Ugh. She blinked when he apologized and shook her head. "No no. It was my fault. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have been running. I probably would have missed the bell anyway." She looked at his face. He was pretty cute for someone who wasn't that much younger than her. And he was embarassed? It was her fault. He had nothing to be embarassed about.

Dillon had grown used to everything, even stuff out of his control, being his fault. It was one main reason why he apologized no matter what he did, it was one reason why he was so quiet and it was one reason why he, unlike Hunter, embarrassed so easily. Looking up at her he shook his head and with a smile picked himself up off the ground, with her help, and dusted his pants off a little. “It’s okay, really.” he said in a ‘I’m used to it’ tone.
“So what class was so important that you had to run?” he asked with a quizzical look on his face. There was no class he liked enough to risk injury to get to, not a single one. Obviously there had to be something he was missing. What ever it was he didn’t really care for the answer more over he wanted to talk, instead of heading to his next class, English or something like that.
Putting his backpack over his shoulder and tucking his iPod in his pocket he looked back at her, sure she was about one inch taller than him but he was destined to grow this summer, about four inches, thanks to his parents genes. “So now that we’re locked out of the classes, you wanna go do something or are you going to run around the school some more?” he asked with a smile.

She frowned slightly at his tone. It was like he was used to things being his fault. Or used to being bowled over. Either way, it wasn't good. No one should be used to blaming themselves for everything that happened. She used to feel the same way but had to get over it quick, being all alone now. Not to mention she wasn't the kind of person just to take something someone else did, and blame herself. But if that was what Dillon wanted to do, that was up to him.
CJ had finally been getting her blush to disappear when he asked the question. Then it came back full force. Thank god her skin was dark because if she had been white, her face would be beet red. As it was, it was only slightly pink. "heh. Well I was trying to get to World History. I like the class, nice enough. The teacher's pretty corny. But I mainly just wanted to be on time, so I wouldn't get in trouble." She sighed and shrugged. Now that she was locked out there was nothing else to do. "So what class are you locked out of now?"
She blinked then smiled slightly at his offer. He was cute. Most guys wouldn't have said anything, and just gone on their way and forgot about her. It was a nice change. CJ smiled at his joke. "Nah. No more running. I got nothing else to do so yeah, I'd love to." She didn't have practice till later and World History was her last class before lunch so she was good for the next 2 hours.
((It would be 3 hours in my school but with only 45 min classes on here instead of 1 hour 15 for me it's only 2.))

He was supposed to be heading towards his study hall but he usually skipped that class anyway, it's not like he actually used his time in there for school work. Mostly he just sat there and pretended to do something so that the teacher wouldn't get on his back about being a lazy, worthless piece of crap, or at least that's what he'd said after school one day, but no one knew of that. "Oh, just study hall, nothing too important in that class, seeing as all I ever do there is study." he said a twinge of annoyance towards the class coming out in his voice.
If it's one thing he hated it was teachers that thought they were better than everyone, including their students. Mr. Klinkobot was one of them. Then again, Mr. Klinkobot hated Dillon so it was technically mutual. "History, well that's... historical." he said with a laugh. He'd never been much of a history scholar, he got good grades but he'd never been over joyed to learn about the Battle of Bunker Hill or anything like that. He'd rather be mixing some chemicals and creating something that could potentially kill someone else.
"Okay, so where do you wanna go, the field, or just get off the campus altogether?" he asked figuring that he'd probably just take the rest of the day off, it's not honestly like he had anything to come for. Sure Hunter would totally kill him for skipping but whatever, he could get on his back later.

Caraja raised an eyebrow. Study hall? That was one of the stupider classes they had. If a student wasn't going to do their homework at home, exactly why would they do it in study hall? It was a worthless class you didn't even get credit for. She'd never had it, and never wanted to. She smiled. "I feel for ya. That class should never have been created." Of course she'd heard the annoyance in his voice. Hell, anyone not a nerd would have annoyance for that class.
She laughed. "Yeah it is. It's better than American History though. World history is the most interesting. It goes over the....." she stopped and had to laugh at herself. "Nevermind. You probably don't even care about that anyway." History was one of her better subjects. She loved learning about old cultures. She might be a jock, but she wasn't a stereotype in any way.
CJ had to stop and think about it. The only other classes she had today were electives really. Easy to make up. And it wouldn't be a big deal if she skipped class as long as she was back for practice. So she shrugged. "It's up to you. I don't have any important classes so we can go off campus if you want." She wondered what Hunter would say if he found out about Dillon.... probably freak out. Hunter was just that kind of brother. Ah well. She'd help Dillon out later by sidetracking his brother. She did owe him for making him late to class.

So she was a history buff, great, another non-stereotype jock, just what he needed. With a nod he smiled as she quickly shut herself up which truthfully caused Dillon to laugh, on the inside, at the girl standing before him. "Yeah I never got into the History thing, I'm more into Chemistry, now that's a subject I could ace in my sleep." he said. He probably could if they let him, heck he could probably teach better than the teacher himself could, but that was just his opinion on the whole thing.
"Cool, so lets get out of here." he said starting towards an exit. "Oh, don't mean to ask but, do you think the next time you talk with Hunter you could leave this whole, skip day out of the conversation for me?" he asked in a slight pleading voice. He knew that Hunter would blow a gasket in about two seconds flat, something that no one needed to see, particularly not him.
"In return, I won't tell anyone about this fall," he said knowing that the boy jocks would get a huge laugh out of it if given the fuel for it. Dillon was being very truthful on his bargain, he wouldn't ever tell anyone about it and if he had any bruises, Hunter wouldn't think anything of it because he had so many anyways. Like he said, it really didn't matter. "So, where do you want to go?" he asked shoving his hands into the pockets of his slightly baggy jeans that he'd "borrowed" from Hunter.

Caraja might be a jock but she wasn't stupid nor egotistic. She was just glad that she could be her own person without anyone trying to box her in. She prided herself on being an original person. No one else in the world was like her. Not even her twin had had the same temperment. Abby had been girly where CJ was a tomboy. Always had been before her death. She smiled when he did. He was pretty cute when he smiled. And at least he didn't think she was weird for liking history. "Chemistry is pretty cool too. I love it when we get to play with bunsin burners or light matches." Yeah she was a bit of a pyro. CJ found a bit of pride for herself considering she hasn't blown anything up yet this year. The scortch marks on the ceiling of the lab....yeah that was from her last year. "It would be nice if they really did try and let us do our work in our sleep. That would be really awesome to watch."
She smiled and rolled her eyes at him slightly as he led the way toward a door. CJ moved her bag back up on her shoulder again and tried not to let it slide down again. She laughed slightly at his request. "No worries about that. I promise not to tell him. He'd get onto both of us if I did, I bet." Not because she'd skipped but because she'd helped his brother to. She did not need a big angry guy on the same field as her.
She blinked at his exchange and smiled gratefully. "Thanks for that. Even though you don't really have to, I'd appretiate it." And she really did. Guys, no matter how much they liked someone, always picked on them or jocked about them. And her falling.... that would last for months. She did not need to deal with that crud. CJ walked out into the sun and tugged on her sunglasses. It might be cold out a little but i was extremely sunny. At his question she shrugged. "I don't really care. Anywhere, it's up to you." She noticed him move his hands into his pckets and blinked when she noticed the design on the butt of them. Those look suspiciously like Hunter's. And she should know. She looked at his butt all the time. What? She couldn't help it when it was right there in her face. Where else was she to look? CJ opened her mouth to ask before she could stop herself. "Are those Hunter's?"

“I seem to remember the scorch marks on the ceiling from a lab gone wrong last year, and if I remember correctly it was you that did that Madame Pryor.” Dillon said after she mentioned her liking of fires, especially the ones in Chemistry. True he liked to light the fires as well, he was also into making the chemicals that could eventually burn your skin off, yeah he was a weird kid. “Just glad that this year you haven’t attempted to burn the school down, I’m pretty sure any sport scout would have problems with that.” he said with a laugh.
He could honestly care less as to where they went, honestly anywhere but here and his house would be wonderful to just escape, without Hunter that is. “Um… why don’t we just go hang out at the park or hit the club, it might be open now.” he said thinking of the dorky drunks that could and probably were still at the club waiting for it to technically reopen so that they could start drinking yet again. Sometimes his mind amazed him with the amazing thoughts it could come up with that was one of them. “I’m truly up for opinions so don’t be afraid to speak up.”
Yep, she’d noticed the jeans to be Hunter’s, that was a one up on Hunter who couldn’t even place them as his, but then again dudes normally didn’t pay that much attention to what other dudes, especially their brothers, were wearing. “Yeah, most of mine were dirty and I didn’t really feel like washing them last night so Hunter lost one pair, he won’t mind,” I hope, he added in his mind. “Okay so spill, why is it that a girl as nice as you and as easy going as you is not hooked up with some hyped up jock, someone like my brother because it just seems like you would, you know?”

Caraja laughed at the mention of one of her not so stellar moments in Chemistry. "truth be told, that was totally an accident. The flame wasn't supposed to get that high." She grinned at him, having no problem with what she'd done. She'd paid the school for damages. it was the only reason why she hadn't been expelled. Looked like her father's money had some use afterall. Cj raised an eyebrow at what he'd called her. "Madame Pyro. I kinda like that." She rolled her eyes at him for his joke and stuck her tongue out, teasingly. "Keep an eye out. I might try yet." Sport scouts meant nothing to her. She didn't really care if she became a pro or not. She just did what she liked doing. It was a stroke of luck that she was actually pretty damn good at it.
CJ watched him trying to pick a place to go. When he named a couple she shrugged. "I'd rather not go to the club. It's too early in the day for me to earn my other nickname. Maybe some other night. But I guess we can go to the park. or the movies. Just whatever as long as it's not boring." Her other nickname she'd mentioned being, Syn. And she'd earned that name. When he said for her not to be afriad to speak up she laughed and snorted. Since when had she ever been afraid to speak up about something? Cj might always talk a lot but when she thought she had something worth while to say, she said it.
She smiled. he didn't seem surprised that she knew who's jeans they were. Most guys didn't notice things like that. Which meant Hunter would never figure it out either. "Ah. Well they look good on you. So no worries about anything. I doubt he'll ever notice if you even keep them." CJ listened to him as they walked. At his question, and the compliments, she blinked and raised her pierced eyebrow. "I don't know. Probably because they only think of me as another one of the guys. As far as I can tell the only jock at this school who ever noticed I was a girl, was my ex boyfriend. That's about it. So it's not like I have to choose between guys. There's not even a one to think about choosing." She shrugged along with her answer, hoping he understood that. "By the way thanks for the compliments." CJ grinned. It had been a while since someone had complimented her.

“An accident, sure.” he said with a smile that clearly said he was flirting, but only a little. Yeah, go figure that Hunter’s little brother would get a crush on a girl who would probably rather be with the older version that could play football and not just soccer. It was a fact of life; Hunter got the girls Dillon got the grades, that’s just the way things were at their house. Dillon usually faced that fact, but with CJ he sort of tried to ignore it, heck he had to admit, the jock look for him… well it was cute, or in this case… hot.
“Yeah, clubbing right now… weird.” he said thinking back on the idea he’d thrown out not too long ago. Some how clubbing only felt right if you went late at night and had the intention of getting laid or drunk or something. A smile crossed his face as she laughed at him calling her shy, there was truly not a shy bone in her body and if there was… he couldn’t see it. “To the park then?” he said, the movies were okay but you couldn’t talk or do anything there, plus he was broke and you can’t get snacks after sneaking in when you’re broke.
He felt a slight boost in confidence when she said the pants looked good on him that was a definite change in what girls usually said to poor Dillon. Usually it was more of a ‘can you give my number to Hunter?’ and the all too famous ‘you’re so cute, is Hunter free Saturday?’ Like he would know if Hunter was free or not, he wasn’t the calendar of the family. “Thanks,” he said to her compliment. He couldn’t see her as one of the guys but that was Dillon wrapped into a ball, seeing everyone for what he wanted to see them as, not what others told him to see them as. “Well if it makes any difference, your ex is missing out on a wonderful girl.” he said not really as a flirting way but still in a flirty tone. You’ve got to give the boy some credit, being Hunter’s younger brother at least he hasn’t given up hope on girls altogether.

She laughed and made a face at him. "Yes it was. If I really meant to burn this place down, I could." She really could. It would be easy enough for her to burn the place down in minutes. But she liked her school too much for that. For all CJ was she could really be a bit oblivious at times. She didn't notice he was flirting. She didn't normally the first few times. If they kept at it, she'd notice. But a few statements here and there showed a lack of true interest and that they probably flirted with everyone. but that didn't mean she didn't flirt right back. She loved to flirt. And Dillon was really cute. yeah his older brother was hot.... but he was more of a friend/brother to her than anything else. Dillon on the other hand... was no where near brotherish to her. She thought about it Hunter had said his brother was a jock but never mentioned what sport. She smiled at him. "ya know.... I don't know what sport you play. Sorry. So what is it?"
She smiled. "Not just weird but probably a little dangerous. Drunks aren't happy people unless they're drunk. About now they'd be getting normal again and edgy." She'd worked in a club once. As a bartender. And she'd learned that lesson well. Still had a scar or too on her arms because of pissed off sober drunks. Besides that clubs are only good at night. When there were more people around to have fun with. "To the park," she nodded. Her idea for a movie had just been random while she tried to think of something. Not a real idea as it's hard to talk to someone in a theater. And she wanted to talk to him. He was pretty cool.
Caraja mentally wondered how many girls had used Dillon to get to Hunter. That had to hurt. And she really couldn't even see why they would. She loved Hunter and all as a brother. But Dillon just seemed more fun to hang with. not to mention he was a bit smarter then hunt as well. And CJ had always found guys who were smart, sexy. She smiled when he'd said thanks. She'd meant it. He looked really good in his brother's jeans. And, if she hadn't missed her guess when she'd gotten a quick glimps, he had a nicer butt too. She mentally told herself to shut the dirty thoughts up. At his complimenting her again she blushed slightly. Thank god she had dark skin or he'd probably see it too much. "Aw. You're a sweetheart. But he's not really missing me. He's dating one of the cheerleaders." She shrugged. It didn't really bug her Ryder had moved on from her almost a week after they broke up. he was hot and a nice guy. Funny too. They just hadn't... gotten along well after a while. Fighting constantly, really, made them give up on something that wasn't going to be saved and they'd broken up.

Well that was a safe thought, she could burn the school down at any moment. True he figured it to be more of a 'I'm good with matches and if I wanted to, not saying I would, I could' type of statement, after all, if she could she already would've. That was the question of the year. Just like in 'John Tucker must die' once people found out that he was Hunter's younger brother that was almost always the first question, well that or 'so you're the other Mackenzie' as if trying to be cute. "Soccer, track and basketball, not built for football, I'd be crushed in a heartbeat. What sport do you play?" he said, he'd heard it once upon a time but as most kids when they grow old, he'd forgotten.
"The park it is." he said. It was fun, being with CJ, she was a nice girl who just so happened to be hot. "So if you don't mind my asking," he began hearing her talk of her ex being with a someone else, "What is one thing you'd like to do to a cheerleader?" he asked, yes it was a dorky question he knew that but boy jocks would usually say keep them in my room and for once he wanted someone to tell him that they'd get rid of them or something like that. "Personally I'd ship them off to mars or something like that, the world has too many of them anyway." he said.
Her breaking up with her boyfriend might have depressed Dillon if he was good friends and he knew that who ever he was was missing her too. However today Dillon was a little more focused on keeping the attention of CJ and maybe fliritng with her. Throwing her a smile and taking a quick look at her butt he knew she was definitely one to stay fit, which was a good thing for him. Don't take Dillon wrong, he has nothing against overweight people, it's more of the overweight people who sit on their butts all day and don't even try to exercise and lose weight, it just bothers him. CJ, no CJ was anything but overweight, of course Dillon had no where to talk about weight seeing as clinically he was nearly underweight.

She wasn't really joking. She could if she wanted to. She just didn't want to burn down the school. But maybe she shouldn't have told him she could. Hm. Ah well. Whatever. She listened to him talk about what sports he played. When soccer was the first word out of his mouth she sighed with joy and looped an arm around his waist. "Ah thank god. A man after my own heart. I love football and love playing it but soccer is my main squeeze. Sadly I'm not as good at track as I used to be, but i don't really miss it." She smiled while answering his question. It wasn't an unusual one. people forgot things like that all the time. Her included. "I guess I just love getting down and dirty," she said, winking at him. Sports that she liked meant one had to get dirty, sooner or later. The ones people thought most girls should be in, tennis or golf, had nothing to do with getting dirty and was boring as hell. CJ hated those kinds of sports.
She didn't move her arm, and wouldn't unless he moved away. CJ was comfortable standing next to him. When he agree to the park they took a right and headed that way. While walking they continued to talk. She didn't mind him asking anything and was about to say as much when he continued his question. She thought about it as she talked. "You can ask whatever. Doesn't bother me. But what would I do to a cheerleader?" She 'hmed' slight in thought. At his joke she laughed and shrugged. "I don't know about mars. Im not that cruel. But I do agree to there being too many. I guess if it was a nice one i'd leave her alone. But if it was one of the Princesses then I might have to torture them a bit." Princesses being the preppiest of the preppy girls in the school. Wealthy and always getting their way. Basically the enemies of the jocks. And they pissed CJ off to no end.
Everyone pretty much knew Ryder in some way. But she wasn't upset about their breakup. It was a mutual one. At least they gave up before things got so bad they'd never be friends again. CJ noticed his smile and smiled back before turning to look around. Now she might be oblivious to flirting words, but looks she wasn't oblivious too. She felt him look at her butt and grinned. So he liked her too. Or at least her body. That was a good sign. But as soon as she felt the look he turned away. Aw. And he was shy too. So cute. They walked a little bit longer while she thought about things. Mainly if she should let him know she'd felt his look or not. Would it freak him out and make him go away? Ugh. Looks like she'd just have to keep quiet about it this time. She didn't want him to leave.
